Terms of use

The terms for using Fan Notch, the free app and the Pro subscription. By downloading the app or buying Pro, you agree to them.

Who we are

Fan Notch is made by Deveshwar Singh Chhinna, an individual based in India (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].

Using the app

• We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Fan Notch on Macs you own or control.
• Please don't resell it, remove its notices, or try to get round the Pro licence check.
• Fan Notch is in public beta. It may change, gain or lose features, or have bugs. The beta download isn't yet verified by Apple, so macOS asks you to approve it the first time you open it.

Scores and prices

• Scores, results and tables come from third-party sources and arrive a few minutes after live play. Prices come from Upstox through your own account and are subject to Upstox's terms.
• We do our best to show them correctly but can't guarantee they are complete, accurate or on time, or that any source keeps working. A source may stop or change at any time.
• Don't rely on Fan Notch for betting, trading or any decision where a delay or error could cost you. Fan Notch shows prices only; it isn't investment advice and can't place orders.
• Fan Notch isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any team, league, broadcaster, exchange, Upstox or Apple. Names belong to their owners.

Free and Pro

Every sport, every refresh rate, pulses, takeovers and notifications are free. Pro changes how the row is arranged and moves:

• Pin a live match beside the notch, left or right.
• Choose what runs left and right of the notch.
• Set the scroll speed and how long each page stays.

Pro doesn't sell access to any score or price; the same information is free.

The Pro subscription

• Seller. Pro is sold by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles sales tax. Their terms of sale apply to the purchase as well as these terms.
• Price. $1.99 a month or $14.99 a year, plus any tax shown at checkout. If we change the price, we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal.
• Renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email or Dodo's customer portal; Pro then stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Licence key. One key works on up to 3 Macs at a time. You can move it by deactivating a Mac in the app. Keep your key private; sharing it beyond your own Macs may get it turned off.
• Lapsed or refunded. When a subscription ends or is refunded, the key stops working and the app returns to the free features. Your settings are kept, so they come back if you subscribe again.
• Refunds. See the refund policy.

No warranty

Fan Notch is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. This doesn't affect any rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from relying on scores or prices. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using Fan Notch at any time by deleting it. We may stop offering the app or Pro; if we stop Pro, we'll refund the unused part of any paid period.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without taking away the protection of the consumer laws of the country you live in.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so on the website (and by email for Pro subscribers) before it takes effect.
